L.M. Montgomery's famous book drew inspiration from Prince Edward Island's scenery & as a result of the book's worldwide appeal, visitors from around the globe flock to the island to experience a bit of Anne's world. At the Charlottetown Festival you can watch Anne of Green Gables – The Musical™ or catch Anne & Gilbert™ at the Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside.

The Nine Lives of L.M. Montgomery, meanwhile, is a musical that celebrates the life of the author & her beloved characters. In Cavendish, visit Avonlea – Village of Anne of Green Gables for some Anne-related activities & then stop over at the site that started it all; Green Gables, the National Historic Site. Dress up as Anne for your own photos at Cavendish Figurines & then purchase some beautiful items at their store. Pay a visit to L.M. Montgomery's home in New London & then take a carriage ride at Anne of Green Gables Museum, Park Corner. Try Precious Memories Fine China, Gifts & Collectibles Inc. in Charlottetown for some figurines or the Anne of Green Gables Store near the Confederation Centre of the Arts where the gift shop stocks Anne souvenirs & memorabilia. Stay at the Black Fox Manor where L.M. Montgomery was hosted & listen to excerpts from the authors works at Bideford Parsonage Museum, where she boarded from 1894-95. PEI Accommodations

Enjoy a tea party & tour the Lucy Maud Montgomery Heritage Museum where you can learn about Victorian hat-making. Stop by the site of the author's last teaching post in Lower Bedeque at the Lower Bedeque Schoolhouse Museum & go back to a turn-of-the-century class.
