Points East Coastal Region PEI
Forests, fields & farmhouses are the key features of the countryside in this Point East Coastal Region, while the white sandy beaches will welcome you to their warm waters & untouched dunes. This large area lies on the east side of the island, which means you'll experience stunning sunrises over the ocean as daylight starts to creep its way across the island.
Cherry Valley to Pt. Prim
Start off at Cherry Valley Scenic Look Off for a pretty view & then drive to Orwell Corner Historic Village for a glimpse into early agricultural settlements on the island. Have tea at the nearby Macphail Homestead & explore the 140 acres of gardens, trails & forest. Build sandcastles on the beach at Lord Selkirk Provincial Park & then head out to Point Prim to visit the island's oldest lighthouse or try Pinette Day Use Provincial Park for some light activity. For the golfers, visit the green at Belfast Highland Greens & then head over to the Selkirk Cultural and Heritage Centre in nearby Belfast for some history on the Scottish settlers.

Flat River to Guernsey Cove
If you come to Prince Edward Island via ferry, you'll arrive at Wood Islands, where you can visit the Wood Islands Lighthouse & PEI Interpretive Museum & sample some recipes from the past. The Plough the Waves Centre is a place to shop, eat & get some maps from the Visitor Information Centre. Wood Islands & Northumberland Provincial Parks are close by for you to explore or cool down in the sea after some fresh chowder from Crabby's Seafood. Try wine-tasting at Rossingol Estate Winery, the only commercial winery on the island, & then admire the Little Sands United Church, built in 1898, afterwards.

Cape Bear to Pleasant Point
The Cape bear Lighthouse & Marconi Museum features a replica of the first Canadian land station to receive distress calls from the Titanic.
The old boat-builder's ship in Beach Point has been converted into quaint Beach Point Antiques & is worth a browse, or you can try Miss Elly's Genteel Gifts & Stuff and Upstairs Artables (in Murray Harbour) for more antiques & art. Take in the view at Murray Harbour & then relax at Kings Castle Provincial Park before you drive to The Old General Store in Murray River for some heritage shopping. While you tee off at PEI Eagle's View Golf Course, the family can visit their Interpretive Centre to learn about the history of the area.

Murray Harbour North to Cardigan
Panmure Island Provincial Park's beach is worth a stroll & then hop across to Panmure Island to see the lighthouse where you can see some local artifacts.
Another antique shop to consider is Waterview Antiques in Montague and then you can visit the island's oldest museum Garden of the Gulf Museum before you watch buffalo grazing in nearby Buffaloland Provincial Park at Milltown Cross. Rent a bike from The Pines Bicycle Rentals to explore the area or take a boat trip with Cruise Manada Seal-Watching Boat Tours.
Rodd Spa Boutique at Brudenell is the perfect place to indulge and unwind or rent a bike at Outside Expeditions – Brudenell and amble along the trails in the area.
Cardigan Sailing Charters offer seasonal trips in the area or you can meet local artisans at Cardigan Craft Centre while you sip your tea.
Georgetown to Rollo Bay
Catch a production at the King's Playhouse and perhaps stroll through the beautiful A.A. Macdonald Memorial Gardens in the heart of the historic part of town.
Admire the architecture of the old churches in the same area and then take in a sunset over the waterfront before dining on the day's fresh catch at Clamdigger's Beach House Restaurant. Pick up some elegant sea glass jewellery at Shoreline Design and take a river cruise with Tranquillity Cove Adventures.
Purchase some sheepskin slippers or a pure wool blanket from Springwater Farm in Albion Cross or see artisans at work at Fire & Water Creations in Bay Fortune. Try Sally’s Beach Provincial Park, Launching Point or Bay Fortune Day Parks for some easy-going outdoor activities for the family.

Souris to North Lake
Visit the Souris Visitor Information Centre in the historic Matthew and Mclean Building Heritage Historium built in 1869, then watch the potters at work at Log Cabin Arts & Crafts or relax in the riverside gardens at Naturally Yours Studio. Suntan at Souris Beach Provincial Park, explore the sands near the lighthouse or make a quick detour to the Îles de la Madeleine on the ferry from Souris.
Dip your toes at Red Point Provincial Park & then move onto the unusual “singing sands” at Basin Head beach, where you can tour the Basin Head Fisheries Museum for an in depth view into the history of the industry. Elmira's Railway Museum & Miniature Railway will give you a glimpse into the history of railroads on the island, as well as providing fun rides for the whole family. Picnic at East Point Lighthouse & Welcome Centre & visit their craft shop or become a tea connoisseur at East-East Tea & Art at Harbour Lights Guest House.
Some of the nicest cottages and hotels on the Island are situated on this strip, especially if you like a beach to yourself and lots of nature.

Hermanville to Mount Stewart
Sample the award-winning wild blueberry vodka at Prince Edward Distillery in Hermanville, the island's only producers of potato vodkas, gin, rum & whiskey. Take a walk on Shipwreck Beach at Naufrage & then lunch at Shipwreck Point Café with views of the harbour & beach. Walk the floating boardwalk at Greenwich National Park to the dunes & then take a dip in the sea at the nearby beach.
View the fine art photography at Wovenlight – Photography & Fiber Art near St. Peters, or walk the famous greens of The Links at Crowbush Cove. There's also a branch of Rodd Spa Boutique at the golf resort. Cycle a scenic trail ride at Circle T Trail Rides or kayak the Morell river with Kingfisher Outdoors Inc.
